In 1984, in Rewa, Geeta Jyoti School was founded — starting with just two rooms — by Shree Rajendra Awasthi Ji and Smt. Geeta Awasthi Ji. It has since grown into a full-fledged Senior Secondary School with modern laboratories, a well-stocked library and an open playground.
After 28 years of imparting education under the aegis of the M.P. Board, the school became a well-established, C.B.S.E.-affiliated Senior Secondary School, moving ahead with innovative methodologies of teaching and technology. Over four decades on, the school continues to emphasise the holistic development of every child — in academics, sports, arts and ethics alike.
The legacy is now carried forward by Mr. Arpit Awasthi, Mrs. Swati M. Awasthi and Mr. Abhimanyu Awasthi, under whom the Geeta Jyoti Group of Institutions has grown to include Geeta Jyoti College of Education, MSM Pharmacy College, and Ma Sharda Devi D.El.Ed. College — serving the wider Vindhya region.
